The Colour Rendering Index (CRI) describes ability of light source to reproduce the colour of an item as it would be seen in natural light or sunlight. It is measured on a scale from 0 to 100, with 100 being the best colour reproduction.
Incandescent bulbs generally have a CRI rating from 95.
Compact Fluorescent Lamps generally have a CRI rating from 80 to 88.
Fluorescent Tubes generally have a CRI rating from 60 to 88.
